HE Sent The Remedy

HE has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted. ~ Luke 4:18b

He was sent to heal the broken.

Jesus.

He is the remedy for the broken.

See… God knew that you and I would need Jesus.

He sent Jesus. His one and only Son. How could it be easy? Can you imagine sending your child as a sacrifice for people who would reject him? But he did. Because that’s who our Father is.

He knew that we were broken and that life has a way of breaking us. He knew that we would face hardships and so {Luke 4:18b} “He sent Me to heal the broken-hearted”. (Jesus was sent by God to heal/be our remedy)

He provided a way. The Way. Because He cares that much.

The spirit of man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? ~ Proverbs 18:14

What’s a broken spirit you ask? Well, it’s a spirit that is anxious, weary, depressed, depleted, worn out and worn down, or oppressed.

Ever felt any of those feelings?

I’ll answer for you. The answer is yes.

Again, that is why He sent Jesus. The Remedy. The Healer. The Sustainer. The Only Way and Savior.

For you and for me.

So if you are feeling broken, I want you to know that you are not alone. I want you to know that there is Hope. That hope is found in a relationship with Jesus. He doesn’t force himself on you.. he allows you to choose Him. And I want you to read Luke 4:18b again … and remember that He came for you. You are not alone.

Broken isn’t a bad place to be when you allow Jesus to fill up the cracks and make you whole. There is beauty to be found in the broken.
