So I was studying Psalm 10 tonight. I’ve been studying and reading through the Psalms and to be honest I’ve missed a few days of doing this and today was Psalm 10. It was perfect for today. It came at just the right time. As God always does.
Psalm 10:17 and 18a
You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed..
That verse touched me. It brought comfort to me. And then.. I began breaking it down.
GOD —> Hears
GOD —> Encourages
GOD —> Listens
GOD —> Defends
I am HELD by God!

And seeing that and knowing that truth just brought me so much comfort and I hope it does the same for you.
Are you afflicted? Are you discouraged? Are you crying out for help? Are you alone and feel under attack?
Take comfort in Psalm 10:17,18
And remember that you are HELD.
Held is past tense for Hold.
HOLD – verb (used with object), held; held or (Archaic) hold·en; hold·ing.
to have or keep in the hand; keep fast; grasp:
noun
an act of holding fast by a grasp of the hand or by some other physical means; grasp; grip:
When I think of the word HELD I think of a warm hug. I think of a soft cozy blanket. I think of a soft place to land. I think of a trusted friend. And that friend is my Savior and I’m so thankful that He holds me and I am HELD by Him.
Seeking HIM,
